Whether you know you’re ready for a professional edit or you’re simply curious how I approach an editing partnership, I am here to help!
Below are descriptions for each of my offered services; you can find additional information in my FAQs.
If you have further questions or need help determining which service your manuscript would most benefit from, I’m always available to chat! Please feel free to contact me (with absolutely no obligation) through the inquiry form below, my Contact Page, or the blue Chat bubble on the bottom right corner of this page.
A Reader’s Impressions
This service assesses your story from the perspective of a reader. What aspects grabbed me and when did my attention wander? I provide a high-level analysis of all major story elements (e.g. plot, pacing, world-building, character development).
Feedback is provided in a 3-4 page editorial letter as well as in-document with Track Changes.
Content & Structure
This service examines the content and structure of your manuscript. Scrutinizing all foundational elements (plot, pacing, world-building, character development), I address well-constructed and problematic areas with suggested solutions for the latter.
Feedback is provided in a 7-10 page editorial letter as well as in-document with Track Changes.
COPY / LINE EDIT
Paragraph and line analysis
This service improves readability and clarifies the focus and intention of each line while preserving your voice. I concentrate on grammar and mechanical errors; pacing and convoluted patches; and syntax and usage issues. I will also create and provide a dedicated style sheet.
Changes are made directly within your manuscript using Track Changes.
This service is the final step and ensures your story is ready for the world (or queried agent). I meticulously review for typographical errors, grammatical correctness, and punctuation. This can include text and formatting errors for those who self-publish.
Changes are made directly within your manuscript with Track Changes or on a scanned physical copy.
All prices are in USD and payment plans are available for projects over $350 (details here).

Services for Traditionally Querying Writers:
I offer the following additional editorial services if you are pursuing a traditional publishing path. This is an especially collaborative process as we work to capture the best qualities of your book, while ensuring your voice and style take the lead in your submission package.
Please be sure to read the specific submission requirements of each agent you are querying. They will explicitly tell you what should be included in your submission package as well as how to specifically tailor each item for that agent. The following options are reflective of the typical pieces required for a query.
Query Letter Critique / $100
A query letter will be your first impression to an agent – let’s work together to make that a great one! We will develop a polished, eye-catching pitch that highlights the most attractive elements of your story, all within the 1 single-spaced page, 250-300 word limit. I will also ensure your letter fits the style and format submission expectations. This service includes the initial critique of your query letter and help with up to two revisions so you are confident in your submission. I will also meticulously proofread your query letter in the final round.
Query Letter & First Pages Critique / $175
Agents may allow you to include initial pages of your manuscript with your submission package. This service includes both the Query Letter Critique above as well as an analysis of the first 5 pages of your manuscript. I will provide one round of feedback on your opening’s impression as well as its strengths and weaknesses regarding all relevant story elements.
Synopsis Critique / $150
It is undeniably difficult to condense everything that makes your 300-page book shine into 1-2 single-spaced pages. We will focus on emphasizing the most important elements of your story in a polished and concise way. I will review your synopsis for both its contents and mechanical accuracy. This service includes the initial critique of your synopsis and help with up to two revisions. I will also meticulously proofread your synopsis in the final round.
Complete Submission Critique Package / $300
This package includes both my Query Letter & First Pages Critique and Synopsis Critique. I will edit all three pieces of your submission package as outlined in the respective service descriptions above.
